Qualifications

• Experience administering Oracle databases (12c/19c/21c) in production, DR, UAT, and development environments.
• Strong design, implementation, and troubleshooting skills for Oracle GoldenGate replication.
• Experience with Exadata, RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
• Scripting and automation experience (Shell, Python) and familiarity with OCI/GCP.
• Experience planning HA/DR and performing migrations with minimal downtime.

Job Summary (List Format):

Oracle Database Administration:

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Oracle Database environments (12c/19c and above).
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and support Oracle databases across Production, DR, UAT, and Development.
• Administer Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Exadata platforms.
• Perform capacity planning, storage management, and health checks.
• Implement and manage RMAN backup, restore, and recovery solutions.
• Ensure database security, compliance, and governance.

Oracle GoldenGate Administration:

• Design, implement, and support Oracle GoldenGate replication solutions.
• Manage Extract, Pump, and Replicat processes across heterogeneous environments.
• Monitor replication performance, address latency and data consistency issues.
• Configure bidirectional and unidirectional replication architectures.
• Support zero-downtime database migrations using GoldenGate.
• Perform GoldenGate patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Lead testing, validation, and disaster recovery exercises for replication.

High Availability and Disaster Recovery:

• Design and support HA and DR solutions for critical systems.
• Plan and execute Data Guard switchovers, failovers, and role transitions.
• Ensure replication integrity and business continuity.
• Conduct DR drills and validate recovery processes.

Performance and Incident Management:

• Troubleshoot complex database and replication issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze AWR, ASH, OEM, and GoldenGate reports for performance optimization.
• Participate in incident reviews and provide preventive maintenance recommendations.

Migration and Transformation Initiatives:

• Support database migration projects involving Oracle, DB2, Exadata, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Participate in application modernization and cloud migration programs.
• Develop and execute migration runbooks, cutover plans, and rollback strategies.
• Ensure successful migration with minimal downtime.

Stakeholder Management:

• Act as the primary onsite DBA liaison for customer, architecture, infrastructure, and application teams.
• Coordinate with offshore teams and provide technical guidance and mentoring.
• Participate in governance, architecture, and operational review meetings.

Required Technical Skills:

• Oracle Database Administration (12c/19c/21c), RAC, Data Guard, ASM, OEM, RMAN, Performance Tuning, Security, Upgrades.
• Oracle GoldenGate Administration, Microservices, Replication, Migration, Monitoring, Troubleshooting.
• Oracle Exadata, Linux/Unix Administration, Shell Scripting.
• Cloud (OCI, GCP preferred), Networking for replication.
• Monitoring and automation tools (OEM, Ansible, scripting).
• ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred), DevOps/CICD awareness.

Preferred Experience:

• Supporting large healthcare, pharmaceutical, supply chain, or ERP environments.
• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) environments.
• Oracle-to-Oracle and DB2-to-Oracle migration projects.
• Supporting Exadata and cloud-hosted Oracle workloads.
• Knowledge of ControlM and enterprise batch processing.

• Strong customer-facing communication.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and architecture reviews.
