Job summary

ABeam Consulting seeks an Oracle GL Business Analyst to support a Capital Markets transformation program for a leading commercial bank. You will assess impacts to Oracle GL across upstream and downstream systems, work with Finance, Accounting, and Technology stakeholders, and drive requirements through discovery to rollout.

The role requires 7+ years in Financial Services tech, experience with Oracle GL, and strong data-flow analysis, with travel as needed and ability to operate in a global,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Financial Services technology projects.
• Experience supporting Oracle GL or other General Ledger platforms.
• Experience in business analysis for Accounting, Finance, General Ledger, or Financial Reporting systems.
• Strong understanding of data flows between Market Systems, Accounting Platforms, and Reporting Systems.
• Experience conducting impact assessments across multiple applications and interfaces.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and system requirements.
• Experience coordinating business, accounting, and technology stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a global environment with teams in Japan and the U.S.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (data entry, formatting, and basic functions).
• Bachelor’s degree or above, OR equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English is preferred.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assess business, accounting, and technology impacts to Oracle GL from upstream market systems and downstream reporting platforms.

Position Overview

Candidate will support a strategic Capital Markets transformation program at a leading commercial bank involving the replacement of Rates and FX trading platforms. The role will focus on assessing business, accounting, and technology impacts to Oracle GL resulting from changes to upstream market systems and downstream reporting platforms. The candidate will work closely with Capital Markets, Finance, Accounting, and Technology stakeholders across international and U.S. entities to perform impact assessments, analyze system and data flows, define business requirements, evaluate solution options, and support project delivery throughout the discovery, implementation, and subsequent rollout phases.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Financial Services technology projects
• Experience supporting Oracle GL or other General Ledger platforms
• Experience in business analysis for Accounting, Finance, General Ledger, or Financial Reporting systems
• Strong understanding of data flows between Market Systems, Accounting Platforms, and Reporting Systems

• Experience with data mapping, interface analysis, and reconciliation processes
• Experience evaluating solution options and preparing business recommendations
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, implementation, and post-go-live activities
• Experience working on cross-border projects involving Japan Head Office and overseas offices
