Financial Services Business Analyst

Position Overview

Candidate will support a large-scale Capital Markets transformation program at a commercial bank involving the replacement of Rates and FX trading platforms. The role will focus on business and system impact assessments across upstream and downstream applications, stakeholder coordination across Asia Head Office, U.S. Branch, and Capital Markets business units, and support for project planning and delivery throughout the discovery and implementation phases. The program is expected to continue beyond the initial implementation, offering opportunities to support subsequent phases and related initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in banking technology or Capital Markets projects
• Experience in business analysis and system analysis for banking applications
• Strong understanding of Capital Markets products, including Rates and/or FX
• Experience conducting impact assessments across multiple applications and interfaces
• Experience managing stakeholders across business and technology organizations
• Strong project management and coordination skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a global environment with teams in Asia and the U.S.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (data entry, formatting, and basic functions)
• Bachelor’s degree or above, OR equivalent practical experience
• Ability to travel as needed
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English is required
• Must live in the NYC metro area with ability to commute to client office
• Eligible to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Treasury, Trading, Risk, Market Data, DWH, or Regulatory Reporting systems
• Experience in market system replacement or large-scale transformation program
• Knowledge of data flows between front-office, middle-office, and back-office platforms
• Experience working with Japanese financial institutions
• Experience managing cross-border projects involving Asia Head Office and overseas branches
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies
