Digital Links Inc. seeks an experienced Oracle Exadata DBA for a remote contract-to-hire engagement. The role focuses on supporting large production systems, PeopleSoft databases, and complex migrations to Exadata or cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years as an Oracle DBA, 3+ years Exadata experience, deep 19c knowledge, and strong Linux scripting. Expect collaboration across cross-functional teams and a strong emphasis on performance tuning.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as an Oracle DBA for large production systems (Senior) or 12+ years for Principal.
• 3+ years hands-on Oracle Exadata administration (on-prem, Cloud@Customer, or cloud).
• Experience with PeopleSoft databases, including PeopleTools upgrades and performance tuning.
• Deep Oracle 19c expertise: RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, Data Guard, RMAN.
• Led major Oracle migrations (on-prem to Exadata or on-prem to cloud).
• Strong SQL/PL/SQL tuning using AWR, ASH, SQL Monitor, and execution plans.
• Solid Linux administration and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Support large production Oracle environments with Exadata integration.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization for PeopleSoft databases.
• Plan and execute migrations from on-prem to Exadata or cloud platforms.
• Ensure data protection with Data Guard and RMAN backup strategies.
• Collaborate on cloud integrations (GCP/AWS/Azure) for Oracle workloads.

Job Title - Oracle Exadata DBA

Location: Remote

Sponsorship: No USC/GC is fine

Type: Contract to Hire (contract will 6 months to a year)

8+ years as an Oracle DBA supporting large production systems (Senior), or 12+ years (Principal).

3+ years of hands-on Oracle Exadata administration, on-prem, Cloud@Customer, or cloud.

Direct experience supporting PeopleSoft databases, including PeopleTools upgrades, environment refreshes, and PeopleSoft batch and online performance tuning.

Deep experience with Oracle Database 19c, RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, Data Guard, and RMAN.

Led or held a major role in at least one large Oracle migration, such as on-prem to Exadata or on-prem to cloud.

Strong SQL and PL/SQL tuning skills using AWR, ASH, SQL Monitor, execution plans, and SQL Plan Management.

Solid Linux administration and shell scripting.

Summary: Strong Oracle DBA with GCP or any cloud platform with supporting Peoplesoft Databases and oracle migration work.

Preferred

Experience with Oracle Database@Google Cloud, Oracle Database@Azure, Oracle Database@AWS, or Exadata Database Service in OCI.

Hands-on Zero Downtime Migration and GoldenGate experience.

PeopleSoft Campus Solutions experience in higher education.

PeopleSoft Financials/SCM experience, including close-cycle support.

Working knowledge of Google Cloud networking, IAM, and monitoring.

Familiarity with the PeopleSoft application tier (WebLogic, Tuxedo, DPK deployments) for end-to-end troubleshooting.

Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).

Oracle certifications such as OCP, Exadata Implementation Specialist, or OCI Architect.
