Apptad Inc in RTP, NC is seeking a Senior Oracle Exadata DBA to lead the migration of large Oracle 19c databases to Oracle Exadata in AWS and to optimize Exadata environments across development, test, and production.

You will work with engineering and application teams to modernize database architecture, implement best practices for high availability and disaster recovery, perform advanced performance tuning, and support NC FAST applications in a mission-critical environment.

Competenze

• Deep understanding of Oracle Exadata architecture, including storage cells, InfiniBand networking, Smart Scan and Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC).
• 7+ years of experience with Exadata and ASM storage management.
• Proficiency in applying Exadata storage cell, compute node, and firmware patches, along with database-level PSU/DBRU/Release Updates.
• 3+ years of experience in performance tuning at both database and Exadata storage layer.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across database, OS, and Exadata storage components.
• 2+ years of experience with OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) or Cloud Control for monitoring and diagnostics.
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle GoldenGate installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• 5+ years of SQL writing experience.
• On-call rotation and weekend work.
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle Data Guard replication.

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires a Senior Exadata Applications DBA to support the migration and development support of various applications for North Carolina Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST).

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking an experienced Oracle Exadata DBA to lead the migration of large Oracle 19c databases (100+ TB) from standard AWS environments to Oracle Exadata in AWS. This role is responsible for optimizing, administering, and supporting Exadata platforms across development, test, and production environments, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability for a large portfolio of applications.
The DBA will work closely with engineering and application teams to modernize database architecture, streamline data models, and implement best practices for operating mission critical systems on Exadata within AWS.

Key responsibilities:

Lead end to end migration of large 19c databases to Oracle Exadata in AWS, including planning, execution, cutover, and validation.
Design and implement Exadata optimized database configurations, storage features, and performance strategies.

Manage Oracle Exadata environments (dev/test/prod), including schema design, data modeling, and SQL optimization.
