Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EDI Architect with expertise in Gentran and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to lead the design, development, and implementation of EDI solutions integrated with Oracle ERP systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of Oracle applications, EDI standards, and B2B integration tools. Responsibilities include leading EDI architecture, ensuring seamless data exchange, and driving strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and implement EDI solutions using Gentran and Oracle EDI Gateway.
2. Integrate EDI transactions (e.g., 850, 810, 856, 940, 945) with Oracle ERP systems.
3. Collaborate with teams and trading partners to establish EDI connections.
4. Develop and maintain EDI maps, processes, and data transformation logic.
5. Utilize tools like Oracle B2B, SOA Suite, OIC, or middleware for EDI mappings and interfaces.
6. Ensure compliance with EDI standards such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT.
7. Troubleshoot transmission and translation issues.
8. Provide architectural guidance and documentation for scalable EDI frameworks.
9. Work with third-party VANs, middleware tools, and APIs as required.
10. Lead modernization projects, including migrations from Gentran to newer tools.
11. Monitor performance, audit trails, and error handling.
12. Architect end-to-end EDI solutions integrated with Oracle ERP.
13. Lead implementation projects, including onboarding, mapping, and testing.
14. Translate business and technical requirements into EDI transaction flows.
15. Coordinate with external partners and internal users for seamless data exchange.
16. Ensure compliance with EDI standards and monitor transaction reliability.
17. Document configurations, processes, and best practices.
18. Provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Required Skills

1. Proven experience with Oracle EDI and B2B integrations.
2. Strong experience with Gentran.
3. Expertise in Oracle EBS/Cloud EDI integrations.
4. Deep understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT).
5. Knowledge of VANs, communication protocols (FTP, SFTP, AS2).
6. Proficiency with mapping tools, XML/XSLT, and transformation logic.
7. Experience in setting up, testing, and supporting EDI trading partners.
8. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
9. Familiarity with transaction sets like 850, 810, 856, 997.
10. Experience with middleware platforms and APIs.
11. Knowledge of Oracle SOA Suite, BPEL, XML, XSLT, Web Services.
12. Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
13. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
