Job summary

Symhas is seeking a hands-on Oracle EBS R12 Financials Functional Consultant in the Chicago metro area for a hybrid role (2 days onsite per week). The project focuses on FA, SLA, GL, AP, AR, and Project Accounting, with upgrades and production support across core modules. You will lead fit-gap analyses, CRP, SIT/UAT, and cutover, while mentoring offshore resources.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Oracle EBS R12 Financials functional experience.
• Deep Oracle Assets (FA) configuration and asset capitalization.
• Strong SLA/AMB expertise and MOAC setups.
• Experience with GL, AP, AR, and Project Accounting.
• Proficient in PL/SQL for data validation and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support Oracle Assets (FA): depreciation methods, capitalization, transfers, and retirements with GL reconciliation.
• Configure SLA using AMB: journal types, derivation rules, mappings, and definitions.
• Lead core Financials setups: COA, MOAC, ledgers, FSG, AME, and approvals.
• Support GL, AP, AR, Cash Mgmt, and Project Accounting across month-end close.
• Build and troubleshoot interfaces via Open Interfaces/APIs, WebADI, and Data Loader.
• Lead fit-gap, CRP, SIT/UAT, cutover, and post-go-live support; produce AIM/BR100 docs.

The ideal candidate is a functional SME with deep expertise in Oracle Assets (FA), Subledger Accounting (SLA / Accounting Methods Builder), General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, and Project Accounting (Costing/Billing), comfortable in an onshore-offshore delivery model. This role is hybrid, based in Chicago, IL, with 2 days onsite per week.
