This highly rewarding role offers the opportunity to leverage your knowledge and skills while working closely with Oracle’s leading field sales executives. You will help solve complex customer challenges, translate business requirements into delivered functional solutions, and demonstrate how Oracle’s cloud applications and AI-powered capabilities can drive greater efficiency, insight, and measurable business value.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying Oracle solutions to client business challenges. Facilitate customer solution understanding through meetings, presentations, and demonstrations throughout the sales cycle.
  • As a Solution Engineer, serve as the expert for formulating and leading presales functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Focus on large or complex sales opportunities that require creative, integrated solutions and a strong understanding of utility business priorities.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and elite demos that address complex business problems, including overviews, end-to-end flows, and role-based day-in-the-life scenarios.
  • Respond to RFPs; meet with functional customers to understand their current processes, objectives for change, and the business outcomes they are trying to achieve.
  • Leverage and share industry-standard processes when formulating and discussing solutions to customer issues.
  • Provide technical thought leadership and innovation on the Cloud AI Data Platform.
  • Support demand generation activities related to the products you cover with presentations and demonstrations at multi-customer venues.
  • Through these interactions, you will help create a vision for a better tomorrow with Oracle’s solutions, grounded in practical business outcomes and measurable utility industry value.
  • In addition to the product coverage tasks listed above, the role will also include the following:
  • Contribute to various non-deal-related projects associated with the solutions you support.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure that standard processes are used and shared across the broader Oracle SE community.
  • Create and maintain relationships with key solution collaborators such as Oracle Product Marketing, Development, and Strategy, along with partners who implement Oracle Cloud solutions.
  • Maintain a positive, enthusiastic disposition during all internal events and customer interactions.
  • Be resourceful and creative, applying innovative approaches and techniques to emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and intelligent automation.
  • Be enthusiastic about working in a multinational, multicultural environment.
Skills And Experience
  • 7+ years of industry background in the Utility space.
  • 5+ years of pre-sales / solution engineering experience.
  • Strong Finance background and experience.
  • Understanding / background with FERC requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate business value drivers in Utilities, including operational efficiency, cost optimization, risk mitigation, regulatory readiness, and capital effectiveness.
  • 5+ years of experience with packaged application software (e.g., pre-sales, internal corporate use, delivery).
  • Ambitious self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Oracle Applications and/or competitive solutions preferred.
  • 1 year of project management or solution architect experience preferred.
  • Regular travel as needed, approximately 50%.
Education/Certifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Accounting/Finance or similar degree or advanced degree desirable.
  • Certifications (e.g., CPA, etc.) desirable.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from $45.43 - $85.63 per hour; from: $94,500 - $178,100 per year. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
