Job summary

HEPCO, Inc. seeks an Oracle Database Administrator to support a mission-critical federal IT program. The DBA will administer, secure, and optimize enterprise Oracle environments to support applications used globally.

The role covers production operations, disaster recovery, performance tuning, security, backup and recovery, and DR for distributed environments. On-site work in the Washington, DC area and occasional in Virginia are required.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (e.g., computer science, engineering, math, physics, chemistry, or biology).
• 3–5 years of relevant database administration experience.
• Experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery, patching, security, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise Oracle database environments.
• Support Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, GoldenGate, OEM, and security features.
• Perform database performance tuning, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain backups, recovery, replication, monitoring, and DR capabilities.
• Administer multiple DBMS including Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Develop stored procedures, triggers, and SQL-based solutions.
• Review designs and systems, ensuring security and integrity.
