Job summary

Drgok is seeking a senior IT Database Administrator to safeguard the integrity of ALIS system databases in California. You will manage the internal database, implement backups and disaster recovery, and maintain database health through patches and tuning.

The role requires deep experience with Oracle/SQL Server databases, RMAN, and storage/network architectures, plus strong scripting and troubleshooting abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years with a related Master’s degree.
• Understand SQL/PL-SQL language and be able to execute.

Responsibilities

• Performs Database technical duties including backups, restore, updates, testing, debugging, integration and analysis.
• Provides user access to data and keeps servers operational.
• Executes and troubleshoots database SQL scripts and reports issues to development team.
• Create database backups for Disaster Recovery and maintain Oracle databases.
• Develop scripts for Level 0 and Level 1 backups and export of database data.
• Perform database restoration for disaster recovery from backups.
• Run status check scripts to monitor databases and listeners.
• Install Oracle Critical Patch Updates.
• Review V$ tables and DBA views for issues.
