Job summary

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of OCI services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including Compute, Autonomous Database, Exadata Database, security policies, security groups, and network security.
  • 3+ years of Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience working with ETL/ELT pipeline development using OCI services.
  • Experience with data lakes, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.
  • Experience developing and deploying production geospatial solutions from concept to O&M.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • Bachelor's degree

Oracle Database Engineer
The Opportunity:

As an Oracle Database Engineer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end geospatial database solution in a fast, agile environment. In this role, you will utilize experience with geospatial data and databases ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in software with a cloud-first development approach
  • 4+ years of experience with enterprise data engineering development, including geospatial data
  • 3+ years of experience with OCI services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including Compute, Autonomous Database, Exadata Database, security policies, security groups, and network security
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, or CloudFormation
  • Experience working with ETL/ELT pipeline development using OCI services
  • Experience with data lakes, data warehousing, and analytics platforms
  • Experience developing and deploying production geospatial solutions from concept to O&M

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
  • Experience with data migration from AWS to OCI and with OCI AI offerings
  • Experience with database administration and optimization, including PostgreSQL with geospatial workloads
  • Experience designing and optimizing spatial database schemas, spatial indexing strategies, and complex geospatial queries at scale
  • Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments
  • Experience with system design, including scalability and reliability
  • Experience developing dashboards and monitoring systems to track streaming services
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • OCI Certifications such as OCI Architect or OCI Developer Certifications
  • IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
