Job Description

Title: Sr Oracle Database Developer (SQL, PL/SQL)

Location: Parsippany, New Jersey

Environment: Hybrid, 3x/week onsite

Duration: 6-month contract to hire

Compensation: $60-$85 per hour

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Developer, SQL, and PL/SQL or related roles
• Proven experience with SQL and PL/SQL for at least 7 years
• Experience with Oracle VPD (Virtual Private Database), RDS, or related security features in Oracle databases
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell
• Knowledge of Linux OS (RedHat), Linux, or related operating systems
• Experience in application deployment and automation
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Artifactory, GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and/or Ansible
• Understanding of public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP

Nice to Have:

• Liquibase
• Oracle Certification
• Java and Hibernate development experience
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Control, GoldenGate, and GoldenGate DBA

Project Description:

This is a hands-on position focused on high-performance database development—primarily optimizing queries, enhancing system performance post-stress, and solving complex business problems through efficient, scalable data solutions, rather than infrastructure management.
