Qualifications

• Strong Oracle DBA experience in enterprise production environments (Oracle 19c preferred).
• Hands-on production experience with Oracle Data Guard for HA, failover, and recovery.
• Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, tuning, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Experience administering Oracle databases on Windows Server and/or Linux.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle databases in production and non-production environments.
• Install, upgrade, patch, tune performance, and plan capacity.
• Manage Data Guard standby databases, switchover, failover, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor database health, investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis.
• Execute backup and recovery procedures.
• Support Oracle on Windows and/or Linux, including Azure-hosted environments.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams on maintenance and incidents.
• Maintain operational docs and recovery procedures.

Our client, a leading provider of technology solutions to financial institutions, is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support its enterprise database environment. This role focuses on production Oracle database administration, high availability, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with Oracle Data Guard, including standby database management, failover, and recovery operations. Experience with Microsoft Azure and Fiserv DNA is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle databases across production and non-production environments.
• Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Manage Oracle Data Guard environments, including standby databases, switchover, failover, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor database health, troubleshoot production incidents, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Execute and validate database backup and recovery procedures.
• Support Oracle databases running on Windows Server and/or Linux, including Azure-hosted environments.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams on database maintenance, upgrades, and incident resolution.
• Maintain operational documentation, recovery procedures, and database administration best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Strong Oracle DBA experience supporting enterprise production environments, preferably Oracle 19c.
• Hands‑on production experience with Oracle Data Guard, including high availability, failover, and recovery.
• Proficiency in Oracle database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.
• Experience administering Oracle databases on Windows Server and/or Linux.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Oracle databases on Microsoft Azure IaaS.
• Experience with Fiserv DNA or other core banking platforms.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery testing, RTO/RPO objectives, and change management.
• Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL Managed Instance.
