Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our enterprise client focused on ensuring 24x7 availability and performance of Oracle-based infrastructure. The role emphasizes Oracle 19c, OEM monitoring, and real-time data replication.

The DBA will work with onshore and offshore teams, implement GoldenGate, validate data with Veridata, and perform routine backups and recovery while contributing to automation through shell scripting.

Qualifications

• Production experience with Oracle Database (preferably 19c).
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring/administration.
• Familiarity with Oracle GoldenGate or willingness to learn.
• Veridata for data validation and synchronization.
• Ability to write and troubleshoot shell scripts.

Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Maryland Heights, MO. Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team responsible for ensuring 24x7 availability of critical systems. This role is essential to maintaining the performance, integrity, and security of our Oracle-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Oracle 19c, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and a solid understanding of replication and data validation tools such as GoldenGate and Veridata.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability and performance of all Oracle database systems operating 24x7
• Monitor and manage databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
• Support and maintain Oracle 19c environments across onshore and offshore teams
• Implement and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication
• Utilize Veridata to validate data consistency across replicated environments
• Perform routine database maintenance, backups, and recovery operations
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to support business-critical systems
• Write and maintain shell scripts for automation and monitoring tasks
• Participate in on-call rotation and shift-based support coverage as needed

Requirements

• Strong experience with Oracle Database (preferably 19c) in a production environment
• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate or strong willingness to learn
• Proficiency with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and administration
• Familiarity with Veridata for data validation and synchronization
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to write and troubleshoot shell scripts for automation
• Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment with global teams

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata
• Prior experience in large-scale enterprise environments
• Exposure to performance tuning and capacity planning
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
