Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a Data Platform Engineer (Oracle EBS Application DBA) to lead the design, build, and support of our data platforms. This role requires deep Oracle EBS 12.2.x, Oracle Database 19c, WebLogic, and Linux expertise, with OCI and IaC experience highly desirable.

The candidate will serve as both application and platform DBA, driving platform evolution, architecture standards, and secure, scalable database environments for mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Oracle database administration.
• Extensive experience with Oracle 19c RAC on Linux/Unix (installation, creation, patching, tuning, backup & recovery).
• Expertise in Oracle EBS R12.2.x administration, upgrades, migrations, and app support.
• Strong experience managing Oracle WebLogic Server lifecycle (install, config, patching, upgrades).
• Linux/Unix admin and shell scripting proficiency; automation tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and maintain databases and long-term architecture.
• Support Oracle EBS 12.2.x, WebLogic, and 19c RAC on Linux/Unix.
• Ensure data integrity, security controls, and data protection.
• Develop and enforce database management policies and best practices.
• Improve performance, reliability, scalability, and availability.
• Perform preventive maintenance and issue resolution to keep platforms stable.
• Execute system admin tasks: patching, cloning, backups, and recovery.
• Provide advanced support for Oracle EBS and databases.
