Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to strengthen manufacturing cost accounting practices across our enterprise. You will partner with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and IT to standardize processes, controls, and reporting while driving continuous improvement as we transition to Oracle.

The role requires deep cost accounting expertise, strong Oracle knowledge, and the ability to influence across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including manufacturing cost accounting.
• Strong knowledge of costing, variances, inventory valuation, material, labor and overhead.
• Experience developing, improving, or standardizing cost accounting processes.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build partnerships across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Ops and IT.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain cost accounting policies, procedures, controls, and reporting.
• Lead costing activities: set labor, overhead rates; review variances and inventory valuation.
• Monitor cost and inventory results; identify trends and root causes.
• Serve as Oracle cost accounting SME for related processes.
• Collaborate across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, IT to improve processes and controls.
• Provide analysis and insights into costs, variances, inventory and performance.
• Develop scalable cost accounting practices for Oracle transitions across Taylor.
• Support financial close, controls, and audits related to costs and inventory.
