This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets in the United States. Proximity to our San Francisco office is preferable, as much of our team is located there and gets together occasionally to work collaboratively in person.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

You will serve as a Lead UX Designer within the Lending and Credit Product Management team, helping to create a new end-to-end digital lending experience used by thousands of innovative companies across the U.S. and beyond. Your role involves reimagining how SVB can optimize credit product experiences for clients and lending portfolio management for our staff, considering platform complexities and regulatory requirements. You will deliver UX/UI designs through prototyping, user research, validation, developing frameworks across multiple product teams, and facilitating discovery workshops with users and stakeholders. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Developers, Content Strategists, and UX Researchers, you will produce high-quality UX deliverables that shape comprehensive user experiences to help clients achieve their goals.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 8-10 years of experience in digital product design within an agile environment.

Required Qualifications :

• Experience designing digital products in financial services
• A portfolio demonstrating deep understanding of UI/UX and human-centered design principles (e.g., flows, journey maps, prototypes, user research)
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects across different stages in a fast-paced environment
• Expertise in Figma for prototyping
• Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence
• Experience designing omni-channel experiences (desktop and mobile)
• Knowledge of web technologies and cross-device considerations
• Experience with discovery and user research methodologies
• Experience working with design systems and style guides
• Understanding of B2B experience design
• Strong communication and soft skills, including respectful challenge and feedback adaptation
• Excellent presentation skills to communicate design rationale and human-centered design processes
• Strong collaboration and facilitation skills for stakeholder alignment and roadmap execution

Preferred Qualifications :

• Ability to tailor communication to various leadership levels
• Experience mentoring designers and promoting design within organizations
• Experience with Salesforce and nCino platforms
