Job summary

AppLab Systems, Inc. is seeking an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure SME with deep OCI+Azure experience to lead migrations of Oracle EBS and Exadata to OCI and Azure. Remote work with C2C engagement, requiring 15+ years in OCI and Oracle EBS.

You will guide architecture, governance, backup, DR, and performance tuning, and you will automate ops with Terraform, Ansible, and OCI CLI to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience in OCI+Azure, Oracle EBS and Exadata.
• Strong knowledge in OCI architecture, governance, security, and backup management.
• Experience in Oracle EBS R12.2.x administration and migrations to OCI/Azure.
• Experience in Exadata administration (EXACC/EXACSD) and RAC/ASM/Grid Infrastructure.
• Proficient with RMAN, Data Guard, DataPump and backup/recovery workflows.
• Hands-on with Terraform, Ansible, Shell scripting and OCI CLI.
• Experience with OEM 13c configuration, migration, and OCI Monitoring/APM.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration of on-prem workloads to OCI and selected workloads to Azure.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives: assessment, planning, architecture blueprinting, and execution oversight.
• Oracle EBS Cloud migration, Exadata migration, upgrades, patching, cloning, and tuning.
• DB and EBS backup management, performance tuning, and DR drills.
• Implement OCI governance, security controls, and backup strategies.
• Automate operations with Terraform, Ansible, and OCI CLI for bulk tasks.

Job description

Title : Oracle Cloud Infrastructure SME ( Along with Oracle EBS R12.2.X mandate )

Location : Remote

Contract : C2C

Summary: SME with 15 years of experience in OCI+Azure, Oracle EBS and Exadata

Responsibilities

• Strong Knowledge in OCI and Azure Cloud
• Expertise in ExaCS and Oracle EBS Cloud Migration
• Oracle EBS R12.2.X Application administration and management (includes upgrade, patching, cloning, tuning)
• Lead end-to-end migration of on-prem workloads (Oracle Exadata, Oracle EBS) to OCI and selected workloads to Azure, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including assessment, planning, architecture blueprinting, and execution oversight.
• DB and EBS Backup management and Recovery, Oracle workload monitoring, DB performance tuning

• Strong expertise in OCI architecture, governance, security, and backup management.
• Experience in Oracle@Azure platform Exadata hosted on Azure. Must have experience in Exadata PaaS Provisioning on Azure
• Experience in database and application migration to Azure. Databases to Exadata on Azure/OCI and Applications to VM.
• Oracle DBA experience with handson expertise in RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure.
• Must have 5+ years of experience in OCI administration including:
  • VCN, Subnet, FastConnect, IPSEC, Security Lists, NSG, DRG, LPG/RPG, NAT, Service Gateway
  • Tenancy management, VM creation, Load Balancer setup, backup policies
• Deep handson experience managing OCI Object Storage and using it for database/cloud operations.
• Ability to integrate Object Storage with RMAN, DataPump and PaaS workloads.
• Expert in OCI Command Line Interface (CLI) for automation and bulk operations.
• Deep experience in Exadata administration (EXACC / EXACSD).
• Strong in RMAN, Data Guard, DataPump and endtoend backup/recovery workflows.
• Capable of performing restore, clone, and duplicate operations for database refreshes.
• Perform DR drills, failover/switchover, and recovery testing.
• Enforce TDE, network encryption, and Vault/KMS key rotation policies.
• Handson experience in database upgrade/migration to 19c/21c.
• Strong SQL and performance tuning skills.
• Handson with automation tools Terraform, Ansible, Shell scripting, and OCI CLI.
• Experience with OEM 13c configuration, migration, and OCI Monitoring/APM.
