Job summary

STAFFXPERT is seeking an experienced Oracle Applications DBA to manage, support, upgrade, patch, monitor, and optimize Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Database environments in the Bay Area.

The role requires strong EBS administration, database performance tuning, cloning, patching, backup/recovery, and production support, with hands-on experience in RMAN, RAC, Data Guard, and Linux/Unix environments.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as an Oracle Apps DBA / Oracle EBS DBA.
• Hands-on with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 / R12.2 and Oracle DB 12c/19c+.
• Experience with RMAN backups, RAC, Data Guard, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and support Oracle E-Business Suite environments.
• Perform patching, upgrades, cloning, and environment refreshes for DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD.
• Administer Oracle Databases with backup, recovery, monitoring, and tuning.
• Manage Oracle WebLogic, Concurrent Manager, Forms, Reports, Workflow, and services.
• Monitor performance and resolve issues; support high availability and DR.
• Handle on-call production support and documentation of procedures.
• Work with development teams during releases and migrations.

Title: Oracle Apps DBA

Onsite: Bay Area/San Jose, CA

Position Summary
STAFFXPERT is seeking an experienced Oracle Applications DBA to manage, support, upgrade, patch, monitor, and optimize Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Oracle EBS administration, database performance tuning, cloning, patching, backup/recovery, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments.
• Perform patching, upgrades, cloning, and environment refreshes across DEV, TEST, UAT, and PROD environments.
• Administer and support Oracle Databases, including backup, recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Manage Oracle WebLogic, Concurrent Managers, Forms, Reports, Workflow, and application services.
• Monitor database and application performance and proactively resolve issues.
• Perform RMAN backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability support.
• Manage users, roles, privileges, security, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to database, application tier, interfaces, and batch jobs.
• Support Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and Linux/Unix environments.
• Work with development and functional teams during releases, deployments, and production migrations.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system configurations.
• Participate in on-call and production support activities as required.

Required Skills

• Strong experience as an Oracle Apps DBA / Oracle EBS DBA.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 / R12.2.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database 12c/19c or later.
• Experience with ADOP, AutoConfig, patching, cloning, and upgrades.
• Strong experience with RMAN, RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Oracle WebLogic, Concurrent Manager, Workflow, Forms, and Reports.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting skills.
• Experience supporting high-availability and production Oracle environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience.
• Experience migrating Oracle EBS or databases to cloud environments.Experience with automation, monitoring tools, and DevOps practices.
• Relevant Oracle certifications are a plus.
