Job Description:

As an Oracle APEX Developer, you will support the modernization and enhancement of enterprise applications that manage critical and highly sensitive data. This role involves developing secure, scalable, and high-performing Oracle APEX applications, implementing new features, improving user experiences, and ensuring compliance with data security and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle APEX applications and related components.
• Implement new application enhancements supporting data modernization initiatives.
• Develop secure and scalable solutions using Oracle APEX, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Create and maintain Oracle database objects, packages, procedures, and triggers.
• Integrate applications with external systems using RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Enhance application security, performance, and reliability for mission-critical systems.
• Develop modern user interfaces and improve user experience through advanced APEX capabilities.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application, database, and integration issues.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and data governance standards for sensitive information.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Oracle APEX.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 11g, 18c, and 19c environments.
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development expertise.
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL Web Toolkit and Oracle development best practices.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and/or jQuery for front-end customization and enhancements.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Strong understanding of application security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining high-availability applications and databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience working on healthcare, government, public sector, or other highly regulated enterprise systems is preferred.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
