Base-2 Solutions is seeking an experienced Database Engineer to modernize a critical government information system. You will manage Oracle 19c databases in on-prem and AWS RDS, design schemas, and optimize performance while ensuring data integrity and security.

You will collaborate with Java developers, support SAP BI reporting, and ensure seamless integration with Apache Solr indexing. Flexibility for hybrid work and rigorous documentation are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Oracle 19c databases in production.
• Experience with Oracle on-premises and AWS RDS environments.
• Experience designing enterprise database schemas.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience backup and restore for Oracle databases.
• Experience Oracle security hardening measures.
• Experience patch management and upgrades for Oracle databases.
• Experience optimizing database interactions with Java applications.
• Experience integrating with search/indexing platforms (Solr preferred).
• Experience troubleshooting production database issues.
• Experience implementing government compliance controls (FISMA, FedRAMP).
• Experience deploying and maintaining database monitoring tools.
• Experience creating technical documentation for database systems.
