Job summary

Lux Travel Nurse Inc. seeks a skilled OR RN for a travel assignment at an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Alaska. You will provide comprehensive perioperative care before, during, and after procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical journey.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and at least three years in OR or PACU. Travel benefits and housing reimbursements accompany this exciting opportunity.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current RN license.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain within three months of hire).
Minimum of three years of experience working independently in the Operating Room and/or PACU.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care from preoperative to postoperative stages.
Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the surgical team.
Coordinate discharge planning and patient education for successful recovery.
Administer medications according to established standards and guidelines.
Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Participate in sterile processing and pre/post-surgical follow-up calls.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent outcomes.
