Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week travel assignment in Anchorage, Alaska. You will provide perioperative care, collaborate with the surgical team, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Required: 1 year of OR RN experience, valid RN license, and current BLS. Preferred: ACLS/PALS/ENPC, CNOR, and additional certifications. Travel compensation package offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent OR RN experience required.
• Current RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room with instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Position and prepare patients for surgery ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain sterile field and follow infection control protocols.
• Anticipate team needs and hand instruments promptly during procedures.
• Monitor patient status during surgery and document significant changes.
• Assist with room turnover and restock between cases per protocols.
