Job summary

San Dimas Community Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking an Operating Room Technician to join a committed team delivering high-quality patient care. You will prepare sterile supplies, maintain sterile fields, and assist the surgeon during procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or Equivalent, ORT training or equivalent, with at least 3 years of surgical experience and current BLS certification. Per diem position with day shifts and competitive compensation offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; effective April 2014 for new hires.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures across general, orthopedic, neuro, ENT, Uro and related areas.
• Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during procedures and assist surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments.

Responsibilities

The Operating Room Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.2. Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).3. Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics).4. Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.).5. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency

San Dimas Community Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $28.89. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
