POSITION SUMMARY:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Electrician A - Brooklyn. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing all electrical equipment and components in the facility for power and lighting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Works with voltages up to 600 volts, three-phase, five-wire.
2. Understands and interprets prints for repairs and installations.
3. Performs electrical calculations for installations, repairs, and relocations.
4. Applies electrical codes and regulations to all work performed.
5. Keeps work area clear and safe, removes debris and unused materials.
6. Performs and records required testing on equipment and devices.
7. Completes tasks properly and on schedule.
8. Performs other work as directed by supervisor.
9. Handles all facets of plant and building maintenance, including the storage of hazardous materials and chemicals used by the department.
10. Troubleshoots and repairs appliances, motor circuits, alarms, and related items.
11. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment and systems.
12. Disconnects and removes appliances and equipment.
13. Installs and connects appliances, equipment, raceways, motors, and panels.
14. Properly stores and discards electrical equipment.
15. Estimates and requests materials required for repairs and installations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or approved trade school graduation, with 5+ years of experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certification in the use of Hilti Power Gun.

Qualified candidates must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
