Job summary

Montage Health in California is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist intra-operatively by preparing and handling supplies and equipment to maintain a safe surgical environment.

Under RN supervision, you will contribute to quality of care, teamwork, and patient relations; a minimum scrub experience is preferred, with certification or BLS required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year scrub experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital or multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center preferred.
• Extensive hospital surgical technologist experience may substitute for formal training.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS is required; Surgical Technologist certification is strongly preferred.

Job Description

Under the leadership of the department director and the supervision of an RN, the Surgical Technologist is responsible and accountable for working intra-operatively in the preparation and handling of supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic surgical environment for the patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of the hospital and department.

Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a broad professional knowledge.

Experience

A minimum of one year scrub experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital or multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center preferred.

Will consider extensive hospital surgical technologist experience in lieu of graduate of training program.

Education

Graduate of a surgical technologist training program strongly preferred. Will consider extensive hospital surgical technologist experience in lieu of graduate of training program.

Licensure/Certifications

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS is required.

Surgical Technologist certification is strongly preferred.

Assigned Work Hours: Monday - Friday, four days x 10 hours, 0800-1830.

Position Type: Regular Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience): $45.05 to $60.27

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $2.78

Hourly Night Shift Differential: $4.17
