Job summary

Montage Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist intra-operatively with preparation and handling of supplies and equipment to support a safe, therapeutic environment for patients. You will work under department leadership and the supervision of an RN, contributing to quality of care and excellent public relations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year scrub experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital or ambulatory surgery center preferred.
• Graduate of a surgical technologist training program preferred; extensive experience accepted in lieu of training.
• American Heart Association BLS required; Surgical Technologist certification strongly preferred.

Job Description:

Under the leadership of the department director and the supervision of an RN, the Surgical Technologist is responsible and accountable for working intra-operatively in the preparation and handling of supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic surgical environment for the patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of the hospital and department. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a broad professional knowledge.

Experience

A minimum of one year scrub experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital or multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center preferred.

Education

Graduate of a surgical technologist training program strongly preferred. Will consider extensive hospital surgical technologist experience in lieu of graduate of training program.

Licensure/Certifications

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS is required. Surgical Technologist certification is strongly preferred.

Assigned Work Hours:

Monday - Friday, four days X 10 hours, 0800-1830.

Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience):

$45.05

to

$60.27

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $2.78Hourly Night Shift Differential: $4.17
