Job summary

Montage Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team under the supervision of an RN. You will prepare and handle supplies and equipment intra-operatively to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment according to hospital policies.

The role requires at least one year of scrub experience, graduation from a surgical technologist program or equivalent extensive hospital experience. BLS is required; CST certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year scrub experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital or multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center preferred.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS is required. Surgical Technologist certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist intra-operatively in the preparation and handling of supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic surgical environment.
• Work under the leadership of the department director and supervision of an RN to support the surgical team.

Job Description: Under the leadership of the department director and the supervision of an RN, the Surgical Technologist is responsible and accountable for working intra-operatively in the preparation and handling of supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic surgical environment for the patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of the hospital and department. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a broad professional knowledge.

Experience

A minimum of one year scrub experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital or multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center preferred.

Education

Graduate of a surgical technologist training program strongly preferred. Will consider extensive hospital surgical technologist experience in lieu of graduate of training program.

Licensure/Certifications

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS is required. Surgical Technologist certification is strongly preferred.

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid. Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $2.78
