Job summary

Sbhny is seeking an OR Certified Surgical Technologist to support the surgeon during cases. The technologist operates autonomously and collaborates with the OR team, scrubbing in on a variety of procedures under RN supervision.

Graduate of Operating Room Technician Program or equivalent; certification as Surgical Technician; BCLS. Requires one year of OR scrub experience and solid knowledge of sterility and medical terminology.

Job description

The OR Certified Surgical Technologist is a critical member of the Operating Room Team who performs a variety of technical skills in support of the surgeon during cases. The Surgical technologist is an autonomous skilled individual who is competent in a variety of specialties and scrubs in surgical/diagnostic procedure(s) under the direction of a registered professional nurse.

Requirements

Graduate of Operating Room

TechnicianProgram or its equivalent.
