Summary: The RN - OR, Team Lead shall be responsible to facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for the provision of quality patient care. The Team Lead is responsible to Nursing Leadership and will serve as a role model by providing direction in the application of nursing process, quality improvement standards, organizational and departmental goals, and objectives in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The primary role of the Team Lead is to perform as a clinical leader and facilitator for their service line area. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years progressive surgery experience preferred. Evidence of commitment to continuing education.
Active RN license required, BLS required, CNOR required within 1 year of hire, additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, etc) may be required depending on area assigned.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software. Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills. Must be able to meet strict deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to develop trust with leaders in the organizations. Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance. Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions. Ability to work both independent and in a team environment. Ability to Scrub and Circulate. Knowledge of regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
