Job summary

Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, part of Cayuga Health, seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will support surgeons and anesthesia, prepare the sterile field, and assist on procedures.

The role requires NBSTSA/NCCT certification or LPN license, graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, and adherence to AORN standards. Day shifts with flexible hours; no on-call or weekends; onsite with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards of care for the operative patient per AORN guidelines.

• Assists with patient positioning, preparation, and follows Time Out procedures.
• Identifies and mitigates safety hazards; ensures equipment is safe and functional.
• Adheres to universal precautions and infection control; stays current with policy updates.
