Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Graduate of accredited program for Surgical Technologist.
• National certification or certification eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain asepsis in surgical suite.
• Track implants and handle equipment per manufacturers guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and expense.
• Use time efficiently in setting up and turning over room.
• Scrub all cases in all services efficiently.
