Job summary

Temple University Health System is seeking an OR Surgical Technician to join their team at Fox Chase Cancer Center. The Surgical Technician will ensure patient safety and assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, handling instruments, and supporting surgeons during operations. OR SURGICAL TECHNICIAN (FT; 36hrs/wk) - Temple Health/Fox Chase Cancer Center - ( 252657 )

The surgical technologist, under the guidance of the registered nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of patients under his/her care. The ST is responsible for case preparation, assisting with patient preparation, proper handling of instruments and equipment, preparation of the sterile field based upon the specific procedure and surgeon's preference, and anticipating the surgeon's needs. 'Certification requirement is only for those individuals hired after December 29, 2020'

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Other : Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology (Required)

Experience
1 Year experience in an operating room (Preferred)

License/Certifications
BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
CST - Cert Surgical Tech (Required) or CORT - Cert Operating Room Tech (Required)
