• Provides assistance to the surgeon and other team members during surgical procedures; assists with patient care, positioning, prepping and obtaining supplies.
• Functions as a primary scrub person responsible for handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during all surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile field and ensures all required equipment and supplies are available for each procedure.
• Observes, anticipates needs, and supports the surgical team throughout procedures and maintains sterile technique.
