Job summary

George Washington University Hospital in downtown Washington, DC, seeks a Surgical Technician to support perioperative services. You will prepare supplies, equipment and instrumentation for surgical cases, anticipate needs, and assist the surgical team across procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires a High School diploma and completion of an accredited surgical technology program or nursing degree.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification or degree from an accredited nursing program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical cases.
• Anticipates the needs in the surgical field when passing instruments, and assists the surgical team in all procedures.
• Responsible for case cleanup, patient positioning, moving patients and room turnovers.
