Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures and to ensure the operating suite is prepared for each case.

The role requires maintaining sterile technique, sterilizing instruments, and performing instrument counts with the team. A high school diploma and 2 years of related experience are preferred; BLS certification is required. 10-hour shifts with hourly pay of $26.27–$32.18.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years related experience and/or training preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Surgical Technician Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for proper functioning.
• Assist in preparing the surgical suite.
• Assist surgeon during operative procedures and maintain aseptic technique.
• Count sponges, needles and instruments with Circulating Nurse.
• Transport instruments and return supplies to storage.
