Job summary

KPC GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTERS INC. in Orange, CA is seeking a Surgical Tech for full-time, 8-hour OR shifts. The role prepares operating rooms and assists in surgery while maintaining aseptic technique.

Requirements include prior Surgical Technician experience, current BLS, English fluency, and the ability to lift heavy objects; completion of a surgical tech course is preferred. Benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Surgical Technician.
• Current BLS certification.
• Completion of course for surgical technicians preferred.
• Has full command of the English language (verbal and written).
• Possesses the physical abilities, including heavy lifting, and perceptive acuity to satisfactory perform assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery and assist patients.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control practices.
• Assist in counting instruments, sutures and sponges.
• Provide comfort and support for pre-operative patients.
• Notify personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs as needed.
