UPMC is seeking an OR Surgical Specialist RN to join the operating room team in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role involves scrub and circulator responsibilities, collaboration with physicians and staff, and active participation in departmental budgeting and education initiatives.

The candidate should have a minimum of four years of OR experience, with a BSN preferred; current RN licensure in Pennsylvania (or compact) and BLS/CPR certification are required.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize preference cards and surgeon preferences to anticipate equipment and scrub needs.
• Assist with staff lunches when not staffing.
• Procure and allocate resources for the OR.
• Facilitate communication between staff, surgeons, and service line clinicians.
• Perform scrub role and participate in OR governance and budgeting discussions.
• Assist in evaluating and acquiring surgical equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate personnel and materials efficiently in the OR.
• Develop and deliver continuing education topics for staff.
