Job summary

THOM Thomas Hospitals in West Virginia is seeking a Full-time OB Scrub Tech to support intraoperative care as the scrub person for the surgical team. Qualifications

• Current licensure as an LPN and two years of scrub experience, OR Surgical Technology Program with certification.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire date.
• One year of Surgical Technology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique in the OR and assist the surgical team.
• Assist circulating RN to maintain a sterile field and monitor technique.
• Perform sponge, instrument, and needle counts per guidelines.
• Pass sterile instruments to the surgical team during procedures.
• Assist with gowning, gloving, and positioning of surgeons and equipment.
• Prepare supplies and equipment for procedures and assist with equipment checks.
