Job summary

Incredible Health in the Washington, DC area is hiring an Operating Room / Surgical Nurse (RN). The RN will provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgery in a fast-paced OR, ensuring aseptic safety and effective intraoperative support.

Requirements include an ADN or higher nursing degree, an active RN license, and 1+ years of OR/surgical experience; ACLS/PALS certification is preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher degree in nursing.
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• 1+ years of OR/surgical experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS certification preferred.
• Experience with aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff, physicians, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to surgical patients before, during, and after surgery in accordance with AORN standards.
• Maintain an aseptic and safe environment in the Operating Room.
• Assist in intra-operative care by performing nursing and technical duties as assigned.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and other physiological parameters during surgery.
• Communicate with patients and their families about the surgical procedure and postoperative care.
