Job summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a Surgical Aide at Arnot Ogden Medical Center to support OR operations. You will transport patients, assist with stocking and sanitation, and coordinate cart exchanges with Central Processing, reporting to the Perioperative Services director.

The role requires a high school diploma, hospital experience preferred, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Work hours are 40 per week, evenings to nights, with a sign-on bonus of $0.

Responsibilities

• Isolates and removes trash and linen for disposal after procedures.
• Transports patients to OR and SDS.
• Coordinates cart exchanges and linen supplies; understands inventory control and case cart prep.
• Restocks blanket warmers.
• Transports and handles specimens; maintains specimen container supply; uses PPE.
• Performs temperature checks on surgical refrigerators and reports discrepancies.
• Restocks OR rooms and supplies to prevent depletion.
