Job summary

GBMC Hospital in Towson, MD is seeking an OR Support Assistant to provide critical perioperative support before, during, and after procedures. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, turning rooms, and assisting with patient positioning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; OR Support Assistant training may be obtained on the job.
• Six months of direct patient care experience to be familiar with patient activities and procedures.
• Completion of Healthcare Provider CPR within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of equipment and supplies for surgery.
• Perform room turnover and cleaning of operating rooms and related areas.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for discharge.
• Transport case carts, supplies, and specimens as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking of OR and PACU areas.
