Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Bay City, MI seeks an OR Support role to assist the surgery team with direct and indirect patient care in a sterile environment. You will help prepare and maintain a safe operating room, transport supplies, stock items, and support room turnover; you may respond to emergencies as needed. Demonstrates adaptability and strong communication in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Requires a high school diploma and BLS certification. Previous OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly patient care environment in surgery.
• Demonstrates competency in sterile technique and equipment use (autoclave, instrument trays).
• Assist with stocking OR suites and room turnover.
• Transport supplies and support patient care activities as needed.
• Respond to emergencies per protocol and participate in in-services.
