Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is hiring for a full-time Day Shift position in Surgical Services. The role includes patient assistance, transportation, and thorough cleaning of operating rooms and related areas.

Responsibilities span assisting OR personnel, patient positioning, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. Requires at least a High School diploma, 1 year in healthcare, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year of healthcare facility experience as an orderly or transport aide, preferably in a surgical environment.
• CPR certification is required or must be obtained within six weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes operating rooms, ancillary rooms, and offices within specified areas.
• Transports patients safely when necessary.
• Assists with operating room setup, turnover, and terminal cleaning.
• Maintains inventory of surgical and anesthesia supplies.
• Ensures patient identification and safety per hospital policies.
