Rhode Island Hospital is seeking a Perioperative Scheduling Clerk to coordinate the flow of patients, providers and OR personnel through the ORs, and to relay messages to physicians and staff. You will book same-day OR cases and work with the OR Charge RN at the Davol OR desk.
Located in Providence, RI, the role requires a high school diploma, strong customer service and communication skills, basic medical terminology, and proficiency with computers and hospital software.
Under general supervision, but according to established policies and procedures, coordinates the flow of patients, providers and OR (Operating Room) personnel through the ORs. Provides communication services to physicians and OR personnel, taking and relaying messages. Books same-day OR cases via electronic booking or typed booking slip. Works with OR Charge RN and or designee at Davol OR desk and performs related duties as assigned.
