Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• Completion of a Scrub Technician Program. Certification.
• Two years of experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties.

Responsibilities

• Ensures sterility of all supplies and instruments during set up of surgical procedures.
• Assists surgical team in maintaining sterile environment.
• Gowns and gloves surgeons and assistants.
• Transports surgical equipment to cleaning areas and reprocessing of instrument sets.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning on the operating table and covering them with sterile drapes.
• Wash and sterilize equipment, using germicides and sterilizers.
• Maintain a proper sterile field during surgical procedures.
