Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association is seeking an OR Scheduling Analyst to manage and optimize the operating room schedule at Norwalk, CT. The role involves cross-functional coordination with surgeons, admitting, SPD, and anesthesia to ensure efficient case flow.

Responsibilities include auditing scheduling procedures, updating the schedule, and providing administrative support to Perioperative leadership. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with minimum 3 years of experience and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical cases efficiently according to Surgery Scheduling Program guidelines.
• Coordinate with Admitting, charge nurses, SPD, Purchasing, and physicians to ensure schedule accuracy.
• Audit OR nursing e-charting and support Quality, Regs, Billing & Supplies Usage.
• Assist in back-up to Anesthesia Scheduler, Pain Management and OR Unit Secretary.
• Prepare and distribute final OR schedule updates to departments.
• Communicate schedule changes promptly to all stakeholders.
