Job summary

Mercy in St. Louis is seeking an experienced RN Operating Room Supervisor to lead daily OR operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. You will guide nursing and support staff, coordinate workflows, and partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a nursing degree with OR leadership experience, CNOR certification, and strong communication skills. This role offers professional growth within a compassionate, faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum three (3) years of healthcare experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• BSN preferred; One (1) year or more of Operating Room RN experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• CNOR certification.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Operating Room staff.
• Coordinate daily OR schedules, staffing, and patient flow.
• Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for team members.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support departments.
• Assist with staff development, performance management, and recruitment.
