Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking an RN Operating Room Supervisor to oversee daily OR operations, providing leadership to nursing and support staff, coordinating workflow, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical services. Ideal candidates will have a nursing degree, an active RN license in Missouri, at least 3 years of healthcare experience, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
  • Current RN license or RN Temporary Permit in the state of practice.
  • Minimum three (3) years of healthcare experience.
  • Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support Operating Room staff.
  • Coordinate daily OR schedules, staffing, and patient flow.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for team members.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support departments.
  • Assist with staff development, performance management, and recruitment.

  • One (1) year or more of Operating Room RN experience.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • CNOR certification.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
