Job summary

Abington Memorial Hospital, part of Jefferson Health, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to work nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am) at 36 hours per week with no weekends. Prior OR experience preferred; perioperative knowledge a plus. Circulating and scrubbing duties may be involved.

Minimum qualifications include an accredited nursing diploma and active RN license in PA or NJ. Excellent teamwork and patient-centered care are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Active RN license in state of practice (PA preferred).
• Knowledge of patient and family-centered care and education.
• Strong communication and collaboration within inter-professional teams.
• Familiarity with discharge planning and post-discharge needs.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, families, and staff to deliver safe, compassionate care.
• Identifies learning needs with patients and families and provides education.
• Uses information systems to document and monitor care outcomes.
• Works within nursing and inter-professional teams to ensure quality care.
